NATURAL DISASTER
COUNTERMEASURES
-
The building incorporates a seismic isolation structure designed to withstand an earth quake of 7.0 on the Japanese intensity scale.
-
The building foundations are constructed of 55 steel pipe piles embedded 51.5 meters below ground level.
-
To mitigate potential damage caused by tremors, the steel pipe piles rest on high-suppression oil dampers.
-
In conjunction with other counter-measures to prevent liquefaction and flooding, TMC provides a robust structure to ensure the safety of the occupants of the building and the continuation of services even in the event of a severe natural disaster.
